About the job as a customs officer:

As a customs officer at Jefferson Wells, working with our client in Gothenburg, you will be responsible for preparing and following up on various types of customs declarations and related documentation. The role suits you if you are a recent graduate or have up to a couple of years of experience in customs, logistics, or a similar field. You will work meticulously and systematically to ensure correct valuation, HS code classification, and handling of origin documents. You will also work on improving and streamlining customs processes through digital tools.

Common tasks include:

• Preparing and handling customs declarations and related documents.
• Checking values, HS codes, origin, and other documentation.
• Following up on discrepancies and gathering additional information.
• Working with digital tools to improve customs processes.
• Collaborating with internal and external parties to ensure correct handling.

Who we are looking for:

We are looking for someone who is curious, meticulous, and wants to develop in the customs field. You may be a recent graduate from a customs education or have a degree in logistics from a university or vocational school. Experience from jobs, summer jobs, or internships in customs, logistics, and administration is highly meritorious. To thrive in this role, you need to be structured, eager to learn, and appreciate a job where details are important.

Additionally, we are looking for someone who:

• Has relevant education in customs, logistics, or similar.
• Has 0-2 years of experience in customs management or related tasks.
• Is meticulous and enjoys administrative tasks.
• Has good computer skills.
• Can communicate fluently in Swedish and English, both spoken and written.
